Rainbow Jews documentary presents: NOW & THEN – Being Jewish & Gay (part 1)

The 2-part studio documentary ‘Now & Then‘  features an ‘intergenerational’ conversation with eight Jewish people sharing stories about their Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender lives in Britain from the 1950s to today.

Part 1 captures the voices and experiences of the 20th Century pioneering generation of LGBT Jews in Britain: A Holocaust survivor, a lesbian rabbi, a late bloomer, and the president of the UK’s longest running Jewish LGBT group.

"I am honoured to support Rainbow Jews and to celebrate the huge positive contribution that Jewish people make to the LGBT community and to our wider society. Jewish and LGBT people share many parallels of oppression and of triumph over adversity. As victims of prejudice, it is important for us to stand together united against all hate."
